Join a park ranger and S.T.A.R. Astronomy to view the moon phase and constellations. After sunset, the planet Jupiter is below a waxing Moon. Mars will also appear brighter in the night sky since over the past 15 years, as the Earth passes between Mars and the Sun. The red planet will be at its closest point to Earth since 2003, building up until July 31st, when Mars will be its brightest and closest at 35.8 million miles away. Bring binoculars and/or telescopes. Optics will also be provided.
