Tips to Know Before You Go

The following tips are specific to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Philadelphia, PA

  • LEGOLAND Discovery Center is located inside the Plymouth Meeting Mall in Philadelphia, PA.
  • Parking is free in the Plymouth Meeting Mall parking lot.
  • Visit during the weekday, if possible. It gets crowded during the weekend.
  • LEGOLAND Discovery Center admission tickets are based on timed reservations to reduce crowding. There are exceptions if you choose to purchase a flexible admission ticket. Once inside, you can stay as long as you like.
  • Plan your arrival time wisely. Get there early or late in the day.
  • The Philadelphia, PA location is stroller-friendly.
  • Outside food and drink is not permitted.
  • There is a cafe on-site that offers sandwiches, pizza, snacks, etc. If you don’t eat at the cafe, at least purchase the adorable LEGO lunchbox which can be used later to carry snacks or LEGOS.
  • In addition to the on-site cafe, there are food options located in the mall’s food court.
  • LEGOLAND Discovery Center does not allow re-entry once you leave.
  • Bring your extra LEGO MiniFigures to trade. See one of the attendants for assistance.
  • When you arrive and check in, they will take your photo against a green screen and another photo on the Imagination Express. There was an option to purchase a digital download of all photos. They offered other photo packages as well.
  • There may be meet & greets and photo-ops with costume characters so be on the look out.
  • The Imagination Express is a ride that takes you into LEGOLAND Discovery Center. You can get in line and ride it as many times as you want. There is also the option to bypass the ride and enter the center through a gate instead.
  • Catch a short animated movie in the Lego 4D Cinema. There are special effects in the theater like bubbles, wind rain and snow! If you’re uncertain if you or your kids will like these special effects, sit next to the exit so you can leave during the show.
  • LEGOLAND Discovery Center is designed for ages 3-10.
  • Adults must be accompanied by at least one child (aged 17 and under) to visit the attraction.
  • LEGOLAND Discovery Center offers special evenings just for adult LEGO fans to visit and play.
  • There is a gift shop on-site and you do not need an admission ticket to shop.
  • Purchase your tickets online in advance to save time and money.
